Confirmed from Kaw Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A beautiful and free park near downtown Kansas City with fishing, hiking, gardens, education, history, restrooms, picnic areas and all of the above! This is by far the best part I’ve seen in this entire area. More than enough places to park (for free).

★★★★★ — Brandon , Apr 2024

Kaw Point Park is a hidden gem along the riverfront, offering some of the most striking views of the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers and the downtown Kansas City skyline. The park’s natural beauty is especially captivating. Beyond the scenery, Kaw Point Park is steeped in history.

★★★★★ — Maybank , Oct 2025

Such a staple of what kansas city represents. History and beauty. You get both in heaps at this little nugget of a public park in the Heart of the region. Ease of access. Ample parking. Seasonal restroom availability. Paved trails and boat ramp.

★★★★★ — Minivans , Nov 2025

Kaw Point Park is a really cool spot! It's got this awesome view of where the Kansas and Missouri Rivers meet. The trails are pretty sweet for walking or biking, and there's some neat history about Lewis and Clark too. It's a nice escape from the city, but it can feel a little isolated, especially at night.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
