Confirmed from Berm Trail - Ivins Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Berm Trail - Ivins Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (72 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“The trail is flat and scenic, although it's right next to people's homes so the scenery includes that as well.”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“It all depends on whether you stay on the easy trail that is flat and follows the mountain or if you take one of the trails leading up to the top of the mountain.”

I love to hike/jog on this trail whenever I'm in St. George visiting. Some reviews make this trail sound hard, others make it sound easy. It all depends on whether you stay on the easy trail that is flat and follows the mountain or if you take one of the trails leading up to the top of the mountain.

★★★★★ — Edward , Dec 2021

To a novice hiker, this is a brutal hike. But the awesome views are worth it. You can see all of Ivins, Kayenta, Santa Clara, & half of St George.

★★★★★ — Roger , Apr 2024

Nice graded trail for walking and cycling. Amazing views of area and red rock mountains

★★★★★ — Martin , Feb 2022

Easy flat trail, with an amazing view of red mountain. If you bring your dog, there are doggie bags at the beginning of the trail. Please please clean up after your dog! The parking lot usually has plenty of parking, except for some weekends you may have to park in the street.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
