The sign at the trailhead actually says Kayenta Canyon Trail, followed by a marker that says "Hell's Hole." Google maps takes you right to it, unlike another review said. The confusing part is the beginning. See the picture..
Beautiful canyon trail that follows a dry strem bed up into the Kayenta/ Ivins cliffs. Once you get up into the canyon there are pools of water everywhere, big trees, and even bigger cliffs. If you ever have a chance to hike there during a rain storm there appear big waterfalls pouring off the cliffs. Very cool.
Great hike. There are a few areas to park along the side of the road at the trailhead. There is no single worn trail to follow. All Trails App route follows the wash. There are trails that stay up on high ground to the left of the wash, drop down for a bit about halfway up and climb back out to higher ground.
Very amazing scenery but easy to get lost. To call this a trail is a bit of a stretch. I was told it’s easier to walk alongside the West edge of the wash than in it. There is a wash that dumps into the main wash from the North.
