Confirmed from Big Creek Reservation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a sledding hill, a stream and multiple picnic tables and benches.
What runners say about Big Creek Reservation
“Park system around Greater Cleveland is beautiful and offers many picnic areas and activities including swimming, fishing, running trails, and more.”
“beautiful, but clouds of mosquitos as soon as the sun sets so beautiful & quiet.”
September 2022: Cleveland Metroparks was awarded the 2021 National Gold Medal award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation Management. I have not visited every single one yet, but have to agree so far. Pros: * Plenty of paved parking and newly renovated picnic areas. * Quiet and serene park that feels fresh.
Quiet park. Restrooms. Picnic tables. Lots of shade. Nice walking paths. Along creek.
I am a huge fan of the Big Creek Reservation and it's a beautiful place to take the kids for a hike through nature to get a little exercise, breathe some fresh air and see nature and wildlife. I can't wait for summer to come around so the trails aren't so muddy. Other than that its an amazing place to visit.
