We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Red Line Greenway yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Red Line Greenway
This trail is a great addition to the Cleveland Metroparks and was a much needed addition to the west side. I love that the trail has access to the flats and the towpath.
Now connected to the entire Emerald Necklace of the Cleveland Metroparks. Absolutely brilliant and full of interesting sights. I love the wheat grass growing along the path, it's beautiful and if you chew a bit of the "fruit" of it, kinda tasty. So glad to have this in the neighborhood and it's also instantly popular.
A gem of the westside. Parts along the interstate are not great, but most of the trail is some of the best biking / walking on the westside
It's cool and fun trail to go on. It's also pretty long (I only went 8 miles (4 each way)

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
