Confirmed from Big Gulch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a 2.7-mi. forested trail with wildlife sightings and a creek.
What runners say about Big Gulch Park
“The trail is beautiful and well-kept, however, the trailhead postings along the route are a bit confusing.”

“It's serene and a great place for "Walkies" with dogs and friends.”
“Fun easy trail of you need a longer walk in the park.”
Excellent use of apparently useless land. On the fringes of suburbia, encircled by mini malls, hotel parking lots, and other ephemera of the built world, drop into the trail system and witness temporal endurance. There are some big trees here, ones probably too hard to extract back in the day.
It is a very cool trial for walk, in the middle of the forest beautiful,
Not a review but a question--there used to be a way for users to inquire about places... How far is the trail from the entrance to the beach? The main trail at Meadowdale Park, IIRC, is one mile--is it more or less than that?
Good walking trails, there are spots that smell, because of the waste water treatment plant.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
