Confirmed from Big Soddy Creek Gulf's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Gorge and trail-rich area featuring natural pools and waterfalls.

“A nice little work out next to some beautiful views, relaxing sounds and friendly people along the way.”
“This is a great family friendly trail head with plenty of nature to soak in.”
This is a great family friendly trail head with plenty of nature to soak in. The fishing is always good and the trails are moderately easy to hike. There are two swimming holes. A great place to cool off on a hot summers day. During the weekends it can often be busy year round. Dogs are family and welcome on leashes.
Pretty easy hike, a few hills but nothing too crazy. Lots of rocks to climb on towards the end of one of the trails that goes to the left if you'd like a little more adventure or a deeper work out. Definitely plenty of sights to see and sounds to hear.
When we arrived, there was plenty of parking available. The main trail following the Big Soddy Creek was easy to walk and very scenic. It was approximately 3.5 miles (round trip). We enjoyed viewing the large rock formations and spacious swimming holes along the way.
Beautiful walk. Very easy path for a mile or so with plenty of places to rest. It hooks up to the Cumberland trail which is a bit more challenging if you choose to continue.

“Recently tried this hike and discovered it's a fantastic area for bringing young kids and dogs.”
“Getting there note: I arrived to the parking lot where the road was blocked by a yellow gate and the Big Soddy Gulf Creek sign.”
“Restrooms seemed to be kept up pretty well and picnic tables with benches have been added recently.”
“The first mile and a half is an old coal road which is level with little incline.”
