Confirmed from Birkmose Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Low-key park known for its tranquil atmosphere & elevated views of the river & valley.
What runners say about Birkmose Park
“A beautiful drive out through the riverside town of Hudson and a short climb reward with unforgettable views of the St.”
This is a hidden gem in Hudson, WI. It's a park on the bluff overlooking the hilllstoric St Croix riverway. It's very pretty. Lots of trees and bushes. Winding roads through a park of grasdy rolling hills. It's very green in the warm months with dense tree cover. Very quiet. Picnic tables and benches.
Great place and wonderful views. Just wish they had info on the mounds, hiking trails, and map of the park. If there is 1 I just haven't found it yet.
I would really term it a scenic overlook. It is small and nicely kept. It has a scenic view of the St. Croix River; however I94 is a part of that view. The park was new to me. It is a nice place to meet a friend if you want to sit outside to chat.
This park is small, has limited parking, but also amazing views. Make sure you take the path loop to the right with your car, there are no signs and the roads are small (hard to pass others if you go left).
