Confirmed from Grandview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area with a playground, picnic tables, and facilities for softball, baseball, and dogs.
What runners say about Grandview Park
If you’re looking for a fairytale playground adventure—Castle Park at Grandview Park is it! 🏰✨ From the moment we stepped through the gates, it felt like entering a storybook.
The dog park area is awesome. Plenty of room to run, benches picnic tables for the humans to rest at. They even have a separate area for small dogs. Our furbaby loves going there. The people that frequent the dog park are awesome too!
I recently attended a youth baseball tournament here. I had a great experience with what was available as did my kids. The playground, pavilion/picnic areas, baseball fields, dog parks, and walking trails in the woods were enjoyed by my family and I.

“Would be cool to have some working water fountains, but it was early May so maybe the water just wasn't turned on yet.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
