Confirmed from Prospect Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice little park, conveniently located at the top of a hill, if you want an easy stroll down to the river you can park here and ride bike and its an easy stroll, picnic tables and nice place to relax, there is a trail that goes out around the edge of the hill and gives a clear view of the river from a little ways up…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Prospect Park is such a beautiful hidden spot in Hudson. The drive up winds through a quiet neighborhood and opens up to a hilltop park with some of the best views of the St. Croix Valley. From the overlook, you can see for miles — especially stunning at sunset.

We discovered this park on accident while searching for a spot to park for the fireworks. This park has a lovely view of the river and parts of downtown Hudson. We ended up staying up here and enjoying the view and peacefulness. Very romantic for couples and also family friendly.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 35 mentions

“Such a lovely view, playgrounds, wooded areas, open areas, benches, bench swings, river and town views.”
