We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Black Creek Walking Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Black Creek Walking Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (52 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Such beautiful scenery and so available by a very well maintained trail.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Some of the paths are pretty intense hikes that I would not recommend tackling unprepared but black creek trail itself is a very easy walk on a gravel path.”

My favorite place in Gadsden. There's hours and miles of exploring to do. It's easy to forget how close civilization is. There's a lot of old growth trees and wildflowers. The way the earth has come apart left large boulders that are so much fun to climb with small caves and crevices everywhere.

Great place to walk and relax and enjoy the out doors, with family and friends , for the great peace and relaxation of the doors and wildlife, as well as waterfalls.

★★★★★ — Emmily , Apr 2019

Cool hiking and biking trails of all levels. Gorge trail is really cool and picturesque. Two every points. Bathroom facilities limited.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
