Confirmed from Noccalula Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular natural attraction with a main track, known for waterfalls and trails.
What runners say about Noccalula Falls
“Beautiful waterfall with great history.”
Sweet place to visit, even in the rain! Checked out the area atop the falls, as well as gorge trail, which can be found following the gravel road near the church. Set of comfortable steps and railing to the trail, ➡️ leads to the suspension bridge (small creek crossing required), ⬅️ goes towards the falls.
Absolutely stunning after spring rains. It's rare to find accessible 90ft waterfalls without having to drive and hike considerable distances. This is a very well-maintained natural resource complete with a pioneer village and activities for the family.
Great place for anyone! Very accessible for everyone as well! Greta place to camp, do some hiking! Even get out your backpack and stay out for a few days! The accessibility to the falls is as good as you will get anywhere!
Something for everyone at this lovely park. Plenty of picnic places and free views of the falls. At a small cost entry to the park is worth the fee. Nice walk around, the train isn’t running but looks like it would be good fun for kids.
Trail conditions & character
“You can carefully pick your way into the waterfall cavern and there is also a short path to the frontal view I found.”
“They had lights, a little train ride that the kids loved, a petting zoo, a couple of animatronic dinosaurs you can ride and a small petting zoo all included.”
“You can see it from above or go under in a middle level of difficulty trail (no wheelchair or severe disabled).”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
