Confirmed from Blackwater Heritage Trail State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Rural paved trail & parallel equestrian path following a former railway for over 9 miles.

Great trail with visitors center and clean restrooms. Quite a few small road crossings but all safe.
Great Rail Trail, very clean and well maintained. Nice leisurely bike ride or walk/run on a beautiful flat trail, much of it is shady. Park benches scattered throughout if you need a rest! My family loves this place and we bike here often.
This trail lengt has round 8 miles, paved, and equestrian unpaved areas. It's the westernmost state rail-trail, winds through the historic town of Milton. Nice place. There was an enjoyable trip into the countryside where wooden bridges cross several creeks and native wildflowers dot the landscape.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
