Confirmed from Riverwalk South, Milton, FL.'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverfront, family-friendly area, featuring gazebos, picnic tables and a boardwalk, plus a military memorial.

Beautiful area to enjoy a walk or attend one of the events the host such as Bands on Blackwater. The Jasmine was in bloom and smelled delightful. There are benches to sit on and enjoy watching boats go up and down the river or to people watch or even just read a book.
We visited the Milton Riverwalk on a weekday evening, and it was exactly what we needed. The sunsets over the Blackwater River are beautiful, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect place to unwind after a long day.
Beautiful place to walk and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the river. Also the memorial is amazing. The children had fun with a scavenger hunt here. Also enjoy the bands on the blackwater for free fun with the family.
Not much of a "walk" Since we were expecting at least a mile walk around the river but it is still a gorgeous site. The memorial was taken care of and paid much respect to those in the military.
Trail conditions & character
“Has a nice view of the swinging bridge, picnic tables, benches, some dock access for boats, there are lots of twinkly lights up all around there right now (January).”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
