Confirmed from Blue Goose Hollow Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean park, with a paved walkway and sculptures where many people bike, walk or picnic.
What runners say about Blue Goose Hollow Trailhead
“What a welcoming area with clean restrooms, art installations, bike rentals, benches, picnic tables and paved sidewalks that connect to the Chattanooga Riverwalk.”
“It's a beautiful walk along the Tennessee River and passes by some of the abandoned industry buildings that are still standing.”
“Great spot for running and training for races.”
Great trail to hike! It doesn’t seem like the trail wraps around and it’s free open access to anyone. Along the trail, there are open parks with beautiful scenery and sitting benches along the way. You are also opened up to the Mountain View’s and the phenomenal lake as you get closer along the hiking trail.
This is the beginning of the new extension of the River Walk. It is 3.5 miles to the Wheland Trailhead, which is trails end for now. It's a beautiful walk along the Tennessee River and passes by some of the abandoned industry buildings that are still standing.
Had a lovely walk from the head of this trail. Great view of the river. Very clean and easy walking pavement.
I wouldn't think I would need to say this, but for people who aren't familiar with this area... This is just one parking spot (plus nicely equipped bathroom, water fountains, bike rentals) along the miles and miles of the Tennessee Riverwalk.
