Confirmed from Bluefield Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

If you’re reading this, I’m amazed you found it! 5.5 miles off hwy 70 is this very secluded preserve. I saw a deer, bobcat, raccoon, and armadillos.

First time in this particular preserve. Drove about half an hour to get there, to get there you will be going thru a dirt road with a lot of dust so if you come with a clean car it won’t be when you are leaving, I went on a Sunday 11am and no one was there, it is very peaceful and secluded.

Very beautiful place to go and walk and take photos. Wildlife was scarce on my visit, but don't let that deter you from coming here and enjoying nature. Bluefield Ranch Preserve features over 20 miles of trails, more than can be done in one day.

★★★★★ — Rob , Sep 2021

Numerous trails. Recommend GPS. Some knee deep clear water on trail. Cell was sporadic. Lots of hog rooting damage on low trails and some deeper sand on higher elevations. Remote camping sites. Amazing variety of environments.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
