Confirmed from Bluegill Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bluegill Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (12 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Also, make sure you bring lots of water and some sort of head covering as there's not much shade cover on the trail (unless you want to get sunburnt)”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“The trail is smooth and easy to follow, making it perfect for longer walks or bike rides.”

Great biking trail, but no shade cover. Has some lookout points! Lots of wildlife to observe, and bird watching is a must here. There's also a boat ramp where you could put in a small kayak or Canoe and paddle along the water. Heard lots of gator noises, but did not see any.

I think walking gets pretty boring on this trail as there's not much variance in the road; I'd very much recommend biking over walking but that's just my taste. It's a solid trail system overall. Saw a bobcat here once.

Great biking trail to just get out on and get some speed going on the gravel bike..

★★★★★ — J , Aug 2021

Great recreational trail for hiking, biking and seeing/hearing wildlife.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌳 Shaded / tree cover 5 mentions

“Also, make sure you bring lots of water and some sort of head covering as there's not much shade cover on the trail (unless you want to get sunburnt)”
