Confirmed from Grassy Waters Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

One of Palm Beach county’s natural gems. Beautiful boardwalk. Well-maintained. Quiet. Nice little nature center as well. Great for a quiet walk. They have plenty of spots where you can stop and sit down. They even have some nice rocking chairs.

This is a beautiful and very large free park. The nature trail has a long wooden walkway that goes through the area and over water. There are quite a few shaded viewing spots with either benches or rocking chairs. There is also an indoor area that is great for kids and has insects and fish, etc.

★★★★★ — Morgan , Apr 2025

An awesome “free” outdoor space to visit with an extensive boardwalk over marshland, with multiple lookouts. A great place to learn more about local habitat and wildlife, the volunteer we met was very informative. There is also opportunity to rent a canoe to use and explore the water.

★★★★★ — J , Jan 2026

Beautiful wooden walkway through wetlands. Trail is about 1 mile in with plenty of stopoffs to sit. There is even a couple of rocking chairs. The walk is plenty shaded and at one part there are even binoculars to look through. It is wheelchair accessible. For walking only...no bike trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
