Confirmed from Eagle Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Eagle Trail
Eagle Trail goes a half mile around the Loxahatchee Slough (lake) and is a rustic trail with lots of roots and rocks. There is a fishing platform near the start of the trail which is a good place to view alligators. A couple of boardwalks go over wet areas. There are beaches along the trail but some are in disrepair.
Fantastic park. Well shaded and clear paths. Plenty of animals to see. Bring your camera!
It's a great place for a hike. Be ready to see wild hogs zoom across the road. They're fast. I couldn't get a picture of them. Somehow, they keep the mosquito population down. I think I was stung just once there. I plan on going back. It is a great hike and I need to finish it.
Trail conditions & character
“The parking lot can fit a good number of cars.”
