Confirmed from Bodger Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City views, and a paved trail to a lookout point, where hawks soar.
What runners say about Bodger Trail
“Lookout Point is a nice short trail to walk up to which offers great views of the city of Lompoc and surrounding area below.”
A nice uphill trail, fully paved and relatively steep. A short hike to the top gives you a panoramic view of Lompoc. This is a great place to watch Vandenberg rocket launches.
Nice trail. Steep but manageable. Nice lookout point with benches. Many flowers.
Lookout Point is a nice short trail to walk up to which offers great views of the city of Lompoc and surrounding area below. The hike up is on a paved fire road and it is about 3/4 of a mile round trip, and is a little steep but manageable if you pace yourself, and the views on a clear day are worth the climb.
This is a fantastic, quick hike. Although it's short, the climb can be respectably steep at times. This view is the best way to appreciate the size and beauty of Lompoc. I would recommend this hike to anyone new to the area or looking to stretch their legs while passing through. ~45 to the top and back.
