Confirmed from Bona Dea Trails and Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Absolutely one of my favorite places I’ve ever accidentally found. I live about two hours from here but this is my fifth visit since I first discovered it. It is an amazing trail. Well up coyote definitely worth a visit!

We walked the trails while visiting the area with family members. We really enjoyed our time and can understand the many positive reviews left by others. We also appreciated the clean bathrooms.

Lots of nice swamps and ponds. Many miles of trail options to make loops to get as many miles as you want any. An alligator. I go twice a day, so that says something. Only knock off one star because the Corp of Engineers refuse to fix a major bridge that really stands in the way of getting miles without backtracking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
