We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Boulder Park Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Boulder Park Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (274 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Beautiful trail with lots of rest areas and nature sightings of birds and wildlife for family! Perfect place for an outdoor picnic or just to relax after a tough week.

★★★★★ — Hai , Dec 2021

Great trails and definitely a relaxing place Definitely some areas are hard to navigate on bike and some steep trails

★★★★★ — Tina , Sep 2021

It’s a great trail to walk. The only downside to the trails is that there is no map so it’s easy to get lost. That creates a guessing game looking for the way back to the parking lot. What turns out to be a regular hike turns out to be to be longer than expected.

★★★★☆ — Angel , Mar 2024

Great mountain bike trail, one of the top in Dallas area. Blue loops for beginners and add the red loops in for advanced riders. Nothing too crazy though, it’s a good work out. Check out DORBA for more info.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
