We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Bowman Conservation Area yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking, walking, and trail-walking, scenic locale featuring trails through green space, plus picnic tables and ponds.
What runners say about Bowman Conservation Area
“Very nice and well kept hiking trails.”
“Nice trails and reservoir is beautiful, but I'd recommend taking the red trail and avoiding trails on the right of the pond.”
“I really enjoyed wandering through the woods here; the views of the water are so peaceful and the trails are clearly marked enough that I never felt lost.”
This trail is a very mild one ( although there are one or two points where it becomes quite steep) Took the red one and took around one hour. We did find a few ticks on our clothes - so be prepared for it. I especially loved the trail near the reservoir, the sunset looked beautiful.
Such an amazing area. Always new adventures to explore here. So many trails and paths to take. So much wildlife as well!
While it’s not much if you’re looking for a good hike, this trail system is an awesome place for a long walk, some jogging, or wandering with a dog. There are some great views of the reservoir nearby, and the trails are all marked with easily visible signs. The best place to get a taste of the outdoors in Westborough.
Nice trails and reservoir is beautiful, but I'd recommend taking the red trail and avoiding trails on the right of the pond. Those run right next to the highway and it gets very noisy.
