Confirmed from Boyd Lake State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“The campground was good too, though all the sites didn't have shade.”

Nice spot for camping. The bathroom was spacious and clean, the walks around the lake were peaceful, and most people around were friendly and pleasant. Stayed for two nights and found the time to be quite relaxing. Would recommend for single folks, couples, or families. And if you have a boat you'll be more than set!

Very nice location for water activities. The campground was good too, though all the sites didn't have shade. Clean toilets and free showers, reviews indicating paid showers were probably old? Beautiful views of mountains right from the campground.

★★★★☆ — Sandy , Sep 2024

Excellent large modern pads in the new part with concrete pads and black top road. All new electrical outlets. Concrete walking and biking paths. Buy the annual pass. Edit: If you need sewer or water make sure you pick the right one.

The playground in the campground was awesome for the kids. Nice walking trails for the dogs. Sites in the older area are really close together. Recommend the newer campground if you want a little more space. The lake was low when we went in May.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
