Confirmed from Brandywine Creek Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Brandywine Creek Nature Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (159 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Such a beautiful place to go and find nature's beauty!”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Quiet place to wander in the woods and watch the wildlife.”

Really pleasant place to visit. Unique woods and trails. But the city planners are still as ignorant as the day they let the railroad leave town..... They are selling off parcels of this unique woods... Why? Money! The only thing that interests our government. Power and money.

Nice trail from Niles to South Bend ending at Perkins. Shaded and minimal cracks in the pavement. I wish I lived closer I’d ride here everyday.

★★★★★ — Sara , Jul 2020

Trails through the wooded areas that take you down by the water as well. Quiet place to wander in the woods and watch the wildlife. Great location and although the parking is a little tight at times, you can also access it from the inter - state walking trail

★★★★★ — Jodi , Apr 2026

Have driven past the sign to this place for years, usually when I go to New Buffalo. I finally made the stop today. It's a pleasant little park. The Brandywine Creek is peaceful to sit by. The Indiana Michigan River Valley Trail goes through here too.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
