Confirmed from Starr Farm Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with mowed trails for hiking, running and dog-walking plus 2 open fields separated by a hedgerow.
What runners say about Starr Farm Park
“A low traffic place to take your dog for a walk.”
Beautiful mowed trail around an open big field. This is in an area that is close to several other trails so while this is in a big open field, down the street is a paved trail through woods and trees. Great diversity of walking trails in this area in general.
Love the park to run my dog, when little or no one else is there. However, seems they fertilized the fields this morning, air tasted salty and dog was coated after a couple sprints. Brought the dog home fairly quickly and bathed her.
Good for running or walking the dogs.what I love about it is that you can decide, or let your dogs decide, wether you want to do a small loop of the first field, a medium one of the two or a longer one going down to the river and around. If nobody is there the dogs can get a nice run and play frisbee at peace.
I can't Express how thankful I am to be able for Key0 and I to be able to walk there every day. I have been going in that area since 7 and Key0 since 7wks old and he will turn 8. Thank you thank you Starr Farm❤🐕👅
Trail conditions & character
“there are so many places for people to walk, run, ride bikes and horse, but few for dog to run.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
