Confirmed from Breezy Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Breezy Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (448 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Nice and clean park that we were able to bring and walk the pup around.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Walking my dog is a breeze here as well .”

Pretty standard suburban park with expected facilities, not too distinct from other LI athletic fields except for one aspect: access to Froehlich Farm Nature Preserve.

On a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon, we met the kids and our 5 year old granddaughter at the Breezy Park playground that she just loves. A multi-generational good time. The playground is large, quite extensive, safe, and well maintained.

Great open park with playground and soccer and lacrosse fields. Night time soccer games. Park named for a young woman died from a car driven by a drunken driver. Brianna "Breezy" is remembered with a bronze (?) statue depicting Breezy in soccer action. I go there to get my "steps" in.

Main reason I love coming here is to go on the trails. Always check time of sunset so, you give yourself time to be back into your car. Kids usually playing in field and their playground looks clean. More than enough parking space. Walking my dog is a breeze here as well .most people are nice.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
