Did the snowshoe loop 2-22-20, nice hike. Didn't even need snow shoes, it was so well packed. I'd love to hit the bike trail on my fat bike some winter.
Wow, you will be amazed by the views of Duluth from this park! There's a small parking lot, so be on the lookout for it when you're driving along Haines Road just north of Skyline. This park offers moderately challenging routes for hiking and mountain biking.
Really fun and amazing bike trails! Probably some of the best “blue trails” of any network I’ve ridden. Lots of cool optional lines and fun and creative ways of working with rocks and wooden bridges to help protect the watershed.
The Superior Hiking Trail is still great to hike in winter. The views are even more spectacular with no leaves to block the views. Make sure to have good traction and don't forget to bring something to keep hydrated even though it is cold.
