We started down Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway and stopped at Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish Falls, and Roughlock Falls. Bridal Veil Falls (60ft) has a small parking lot across the street. You can get a great photo from the overlook on the platform.
I shot a wedding at Spearfish Canyon Lodge last weekend so we drove the 12 minutes down to Bridal Veil Falls (fitting, amiright?) to snap some bride and groom photos. The waterfall did not disappoint considering we had a good chunk of moisture recently. You can easily pull off the side of the road and view the falls.
Bridal Veil Falls is a quick but beautiful roadside stop along the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway. There’s limited parking available right next to it, and a wooden viewing platform is built just across the road, making it easy to stop, see, and snap photos without much effort.
Beautiful spot for taking pictures and walking around. We enjoyed watching a small herd of mountain goats. The 2 babies were having a great time playing. It's amazing to watch them being so sure footed on the steep hills. We walked right along next to them, and they didn't even care.
