Confirmed from Brincka Cross Gardens' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great place to spend the day. Beautiful gardens, workout paths and overall surroundings...and it's free, (at least it was the day I went).

Cold fall day and we were in the area, so we stopped. Even out of season, the garden walk was interesting. Mostly browns and rust colors, but he variety of plants was obvious. What was amazing was the variety of plants.

Porter County’s hidden gem! No matter what trail you take, it’s nice to know you won’t get lost with less than 2 miles of trails. It’s so quiet and peaceful with a bounty of plant species to appreciate.

★★★★★ — Becky , Oct 2020

Beautiful gardens and trails. Seems to always be something blooming. Parking can fill up but there is a secondary lot to use just to the west maybe 100ft. I think the central building is rentable for small events. Perfect place to stop and explore on a nice day.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 3 mentions

“They talk about all the hostas but they're in a fenced in area you can't get to and there's no bathroom whiched sucked as we were a ways away from home.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
