Confirmed from Buck Gully Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail, usually quiet, through a canyon up to vista points.

This trail was about 6 miles total and it has everything. There is a fair amount of scenery. Seen a snake, lizards, and some colorful bugs. There are a few passageways that have shade, but most the time you will be in the sun. There aren't any water stations or benches though to take a break.
A really nice, well kept trail with great scenery. It’s a great trail for runners and beginning mountain bikers as well. It’s a mild elevation change so makes it easy. If you break off left and head up the bobcat trail you’ll get a steeper elevation change, but amazing views of Newport Beach, Ocean, Balboa Island, etc.
Great family hike! It was longer than expected so we didn’t get to finish so we’ll definitely be back. It got warm so we had to take off our jackets and wear our Jacket Clips. 30 min in from the entrance, the trail splits, that’s when we turned around.
Decent good trail. Easy. Well maintained by the city. It’s a good trail for days don’t want to go far but still need some nature. Beautiful when it’s lush in the spring. Brown in the fall but still pretty. Would enjoy it more if it went along the creek more. Can get pretty hot, not much breeze.
