Confirmed from C Overlook - Iron Hills Trail System's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking spot atop a mountain with overlooks of Cedar City, the Milky Way, and more.
What runners say about C Overlook - Iron Hills Trail System
“Great place to go for a walk our hike if that is what you like to do how did the 8 mi portion of this trail very beautiful scenery and also took lots of photos”
Very cool scenic overlook. The gravel road to the top can be accessed by most vehicles. Saw a minivan and Tesla at the top. The road to this lookout is gravel. Beautiful views. One bathroom facility. No water fountain. The “C” is about 20 feet from the parking lot and should be easily accessed by most people.
Beautiful views from the C! You can see all of Cedar and farther! So enjoyed watching the sunset, and the city lights were amazing! Plenty of parking, and lots of places to stand at the rail. The paved road up to the C, is quite steep, and has some pretty sharp turns.
I parked at the bottom by the trailhead and hiked to the C last summer, and it was honestly one of my favorite hikes I've ever done. Quite challenging, as I feel like I am in OK shape and it kind of kicked my butt.
I really love this trail head. I’ve driving up the hill off road and on road. Once at night and the other during the day. We took a Can Am Maverick, and the second took a Toyota Corolla - on road (very much needed to be careful) it’s a dirt road.
