I’m very excited to finally see some trails in Birmingham along the Cahaba River. This river has been such an overlooked resource for far too long. The new dirt trail extension is awesome!
Half mile paved loop trail. Has pond area, field area and river access. Would recommend for walking dogs, working out, walking, etc.
It’s a beautiful walk around the 1/2 mile asphalt paved loop. You cross over 3 bridges and walk along the path of the Cahaba River. The newly opened 2/3 mile extension is a dirt trail that continues the connection with the Cahaba River and follows it as it flows to the south.
The half mile loop is a nice place to walk. Now the recent additional half mile out on west, along the Cahaba River is a nice wooded, flat trail for all ages.
