Confirmed from California Citrus State Historic Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park dedicated to preserving the history of California's great citrus boom of the 20th century.
What runners say about California Citrus State Historic Park
“The bathrooms are nice for a park and always very clean.”
“The park’s beautiful landscape is home to an astonishing variety of over 100 different species of citrus fruits and trees, each more intriguing than the last.”
“There are plenty of opportunities for guests to interact with the exhibits, making it both educational and fun for people of all ages.”
Better late than Navel. Had a great visit during weekend. The park’s museum exhibits and interpretive features share the story of the citrus industry's role in the history when "Citrus was King" in California, Be sure to hike the short and sweet citrus groves. Enjoy the greenery and scents of different orange trees.
Definitely worth stopping. We took some time and walked around the museum and frolicked through the fields. There are gazebos, picnic tables, and benches to take in a lovely view of the numerous citrus trees and surrounding mountains. I would come here on a 1st date, walk the trail, or read a good book.
This is an especially lovely State Park. They support Circle types of citrus but you are not allowed to Pick Nor take any other fruit. They do have a stand across the street or you can purchase the fruit. You need to pay for parking and usually there's nobody at the guard shack so it's a self-pay honor System.
300 acres of citrus, including some exotic varieties. Easy walking trails with signs indicating varieties and some history of citrus growing in California. It should be noted that the small park museum is only open on weekends, Friday to Sunday.
