Confirmed from Cape Haze Pioneer Trail Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with biking & walking trails, picnic tables & a historic wood-framed railworkers' building.
What runners say about Cape Haze Pioneer Trail Park
“The trail is very secluded and quiet, brush could use a little TLC but adds character wonderful place to head down the trail on 2 wheels or walking as well.”
Very nice ride. Rode from the park near McCall & Gasparilla to the Causeway and over Causeway. There were other parks/parking areas along the trail so you can adjust your mileage. Rode over an inland bridge and people were fishing in mangoves. Had to pay a cash toll to go over bridge on bike but totally worth it.
Goal achieved! Post double knee surgery, this was a goal for me to complete! It was pretty easy going until the swamp area closer you get to the end of trail. Mosquitos were brutal ! Thank goodness they had people on golf carts spraying for bugs! Definitely bring lots of 💦.
Nice scenic place to ride. It is empty in the summer but gets busy in the winter. The bridge at Coral Creek is one of my favorite spots to take a break. Great sunrises and sunsets from the bridge. There are restrooms on each end and a port-a-potty halfway.
Peaceful place to walk my dog Herbie early in the day, before the heat is too unbearable for Herbie. Nice clean restrooms. Grounds are maintained daily.
