Confirmed from Ponce De Leon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational park offering a beach, playground, mangrove boardwalk, boat launch & wildlife center.
What runners say about Ponce De Leon Park
“The restrooms are not well kept, and the playground only has a few pieces of playground equipment thats been fixed or replaced since hurricane Ian.”
“Beautiful scenery with a boating and fishing area, lovely little play zone with swings, the only downfall is the smell.”
“Serene and beautiful, but crowded on holidays (and some weekends).”
Beautiful view of what I know as Charlotte Harbour. One can watch the boats from Punta Gorda Isles. There is a seawall that has a beach area to sun yourself. The wildlife and bird sanctuary is a few hundred feet away. You can see all types of wildlife especially birds.
This is a very nice park for a walk. Easy to get to. Newly paved. Lots of walkers, runners, bikers, and pets. Friendly people, and very safe. Great for sunsets. There is not much to do in Punta Gorda, but this is worth a visit if you are in the area.
Beautiful area to swim, walk around, fish from the dock, picnic on benches, historical site, boat ramp and nature walk. It all around is a beautiful family place. The beach has clear water and white sugar sand that feels great between your toes.
