This is a truly peaceful park. Walk miles and miles of trails through varying landscapes of hills and Prairie. Wildlife abounds. A barred owl met my acquaintance the other day. There are two entrances to this park — one off Grand River Drive & one off of Bolt. It is serene and undisturbed by traffic noises.
Great spot for a short walk in the woods in any season. I love this place because you actually walk through loops among the trees on single track and double wide trails. Newbies to this park might have some trouble navigating through it the first time or two.
Nice little set of trails with many benches along the way. I would say the trail is of moderate difficulty, terrain wise; but on the lighter side of moderate on the inner loop. The outside loop is around 3 miles, and the inside loop is around a mile total. Well worth the visit.
We loved it ! Well marked although the paper map Available at the entrance would have been helpful. I found the trail using the alltrails.com website. We used the online map to view the way. Paths were large, an easy terrain and a overall a great little park tucked away.
