Confirmed from Castleberg Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sports facilities include basketball & baseball fields in a park with walking trails & restrooms.
What runners say about Castleberg Park
“Nice park, it's well maintained and just a nice and pleasant place to take the children and grandchildren.”
Me n my dog Mr. Poppers decided to stop n go for a nice walk around the park. We enjoyed it so much , now it's gonna be a daily task for us both.
Clean public park with relatively well maintained baseball and softball fields. Lots of people walking around the sidewalks throughout the park. Felt very safe. The park looked very clean.
Love this place! My children grew up in the neighborhood and played sports there. It was super nice to walk the measured path so you can keep track of your miles.
Gigantic, clean, well groomed, outdoor sports complex that was formerly an air force base. There's also a helium air balloon ride - check website in advance for days and times if operation. There is also a history time line trail on what may have been an airplane landing strip.
Trail conditions & character
“And lastly there are a good number of clean restrooms.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
