Beautiful nature area here in West Lafayette. There's plenty of trails for walking, both in the open grassy area as well as through the woods, plus some paved paths suitable for bikes. It's not uncommon to see lots of wildlife, including deer, squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, and many species of birds.
Deer? ✅ Birds? ✅ Plants? ✅ Information center + trail maps? ✅ Celery Bog is a beautiful place to walk or run. The paths are easy to access and navigate. The restoration work taking place is amazing to watch, there are fairly long trails, and the gardens often feature lovely plants, especially in the spring and summer!
A very nice trail that has benches, docks, and also educational places to learn! There is a lookout so you can look across the celery bog and also ample parking for events and other things if you wish to have a outdoor gathering there. Very nice place! And a great historical piece to the city as well!
If you like walking in the woods on unpaved trails then this is the place. It is super good, silent and can hear birds sound. I went in June month and it rained a day before me going. So the place had cool air flowing and no sun reached the ground because of high trees.
