Confirmed from Cumberland Park South Shelter's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Cumberland Park South Shelter

“I recently had a chance to walk a trail, and found the walking path spacious and well kept after a storm.”

I frequent Cumberland Park weekly in the summer for their awesome Farmer’s Market. I recently had a chance to walk a trail, and found the walking path spacious and well kept after a storm. I honestly didn’t know the walking paths existed before someone showed me.

Love this place in the city coz it is very relaxing and easy for walk.

I go to the park on Salisbury Ave. to get my daily walk in. It's really nice to see others enjoying the walking trails that go through the woods at the park. There are walking trails that go past the baseball ⚾️ diamonds.

A great park with a variety to do! The home to West Lafayette's Farmer's Market, this versatile park offers both paved and soft-trail paths, sports facilities including tennis, softball, and a free lighted basketball court, and restroom facilities.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 5 mentions

“Plus, there is two dog 🐕 parks, that anyone can use to let their dogs 🐕 energy out and let them play around without a leash holding them back.”
