Confirmed from Cason Family Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“So many different playground sections, hidden playgrounds in the woods, neat climbing areas, beautiful prarie plantings, a lake, lots of bathrooms and water fillers.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“The swings are in the shade (yay) and the play area is on top of a hill so when you climb up things you feel like you're really high.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Overall, it’s a great spot for families of all ages to enjoy.”

Multiple playgrounds for kids of all ages (my kids 9 and 13 had a blast), covered picnic areas with grills, kayak boathouse with kayaks and life jackets available for rent ($10/hour), and multiple handicapped accessible restrooms.

★★★★★ — Rachiades , May 2025

Good foundation for a great park in the future. Needs more shade and trees around the fishing pond. Trails are shorter, but wider than Celery Bog - more suitable for large groups.

I have to say this is probably one of the better Parks in West Lafayette Lafayette area, so many different walking paths as well as several playgrounds for the children to play on, they also have a Boathouse with rentals there and very child friendly, multiple bathrooms available with free women products and baby…

★★★★★ — Dirtigarage , Aug 2025

This park is tremendous! It has a lot of cool nature-inspired play equipment for the kids to explore, plenty of smoothly-paved trails for walking, a pond & docks to enjoy, and a few different pavilions to rent for birthday parties or outdoor events!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
