Confirmed from Centennial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Centennial Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (712 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“There were convenient shelters for a picnic with fairly clean public restrooms.”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“Really enjoy how accessible the play area is for children of all abilities.”

Great walking track, baseball, and soft ball fields. The play ground for kiddos is definitely worth taking the family too. There is a swimming pool right by the park. So a family could swim for a few hours and then have pick nick at the park after.

Great park. Sedalia has some good parks. This park is in a nice location and is a sizable park. There are baseball and softball fields. Playground and picnic area. Long walking trails\sidewalk. Parking is a bit awkward when tournaments are going on but it is manageable with the school parking across the street.

I enjoyed the walking path. The history being displayed really made my visit very interesting. I like the kids area, the equipment was kept up. The covered bridge and the monuments I found very informative. I personally am excited to be there in the spring when the pool opens, I believe my grandchildren will enjoy it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 8 mentions

“There were 4 kinds of play places with nice bathrooms and a water park across the way.”

Plan your run at Centennial Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners

Posted hours for the park or trailhead. Gates and parking lots often close earlier than the trail itself, and seasonal hours change — worth a check before a pre-dawn or after-dark run.
