I was unfamiliar with the area, and driving in the general direction looking for a place to view the solar eclipse after our original plans fell through. It was super easy to find by following the signs, not very crowded and there are many secluded areas and communal areas that are all easily accessible by car.
Over 6,000 Acres of public use land for hunting, fishing or hiking. It has the river and multiple small lakes and ponds. A boat ramp on the river. Abundant deer, Turkey and small game.
Walked the trail until I found the river. It was muddy, though it's a beautiful place.
Very nice ramp down to the river. The ramp is long and fairly steep and may pose an issue for older people and others who have trouble walking. The bank is not cleared for lawn chairs or other outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking for your vehicle with and without boat trailers.
