Its absolutely insane that this trail stretches to Idaho. 37 miles of great outdoors. Some paved and some off beaten paths - but totally worth it. I hiked 37 miles to and from. That's 74 miles round trip - in a day. I left Renton WA at 4am Sunday morning, and arrived in about 6 hours taking a lot of scenic back roads.
This is such a beautiful trail to walk, bike or jog. The view and sound of the river is so relaxing you won't want to leave. There are benches along the way to take a break and take in the scenery. LOVE THIS PLACE!
I have used the Centennial Trail numerous times throughout my lifetime. They recently got done repaving the trail between the Washington/Idaho border and Maringo Trailhead.
I often sit and relax along the Spokane river on the centennial trail behind the continental hotel. It's one of the few places in Spokane with benches. The view and sounds of the river are revitalizing and relaxing while I enjoy watching the people passing by.
