Confirmed from Central Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Leafy city park with lawns, woodland trails, a small pond & an outdoor public swimming pool.
What runners say about Central Park
“The field is turf so there’s no metal cleats, but it was in great condition and the entire facility was well kept clean with plenty of parking.”
“Of course, it is also a wonderful place to capture a picture of a gorgeous bloom or one of my gorgeous wedding couples.”
“From their stunning rose garden, the fountain and water views, the serene walking paths and lush green grasses perfect for laying and relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.”
Beautiful park with lots of green space, places to walk or sit and enjoy nature. There are some grills & picnic areas, a pool & two ponds for fishing. There's also a lovely little rose garden in the park that's worth the stroll through. You can easily spend a few hours here just taking in the environment.
Absolutely stunning park that is well maintained and has so much to do. From their stunning rose garden, the fountain and water views, the serene walking paths and lush green grasses perfect for laying and relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
I always find delight in the Schenectady's Central Park Rose Garden. Alone or with a friend, I find peace and joy walking the paths and stopping to smell the roses. Celebrating a wedding, I pray, for the couple's love to stay forever fragrant, colorful, and vibrant, like the roses.
Central Park is a beautiful, tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I visited recently and enjoyed a peaceful walk through the well-maintained gardens and scenic trails. The park is perfect for picnics, family outings, or just a relaxing day in nature.
