Confirmed from Central Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Central Park
“The park itself is clean and well maintained, with plenty of space to sit, relax, and enjoy the day.”
“The park serves as an ideal, beautiful backdrop for a showcase of dozens of talented artists displaying creations in a wide variety of media.”
Very nice community park bisected by a rail line. A good bit of open grassy areas, dotted by fountains, shrubbery and walkways throughout. It runs along Park Avenue which is somewhat of an upscale shopping and restaurant district. Nice for a stroll, a meal, and some window shopping. Worth the drive.
It was a beautiful day. My husband & I had been walking up & down Park Ave. visiting shops & eating at different restaurants. It was a nice place to sit and rest after walking so much.
This is a wonderful place to walk around when the weather is at its best, especially when an event is on site, such as the 52nd Annual Autumn Art Festival with entertainment on stage and food trucks galore, besides all the businesses along Park Avenue and in the area.
This is a nice park to walk around, I feel safe doing so. It has a relatively large park to walk around and a large strip of shops/restaurants right beside it . Including ice cream shops. There is also train connected along the side of the park that drives by often.
