We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Chapel Branch Nature Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Chapel Branch Nature Trail
“Gorgeous walk and comparatively short.”
“Nice walk Well marked trail.”
I love this nature trail. My favorite is the Ponds Trail. But it's best to combine a couple of trails if you're looking to walk 2 or 3 miles. There are some really large trees here, nice trails, Ponds, streams. This is a really nice back to nature trail.
I like this trail but one huge issue. People often allow their large dogs to run unleashed through the trails. I wish they would put up signs to discourage this behavior
I can't seem to find a trail map here or online so I am afraid to walk the trail. There are a couple trucks with guys sitting in them, but besides that it seemed very quiet and a nice park to go to.
Walked the Three Pond Trail. Gorgeous walk and comparatively short. Trails were marked relatively well going in - coming out was a little sketchier. At a certain point, I had to back track a little because the path back to the parking lot was not clear, and I went the wrong way.
