Confirmed from Charles River Bike Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Are you looking for a perfect place to go with your kid for bicycling? You must not miss this place. We walked while the son enjoyed bicycling for miles. The trail is well maintained and wide enough. I highly recommend it. There were people from all walks of life - walking, running.

There's a fantastic trail along the Louisa Lake in a Milford town just 45 minutes from downtown Boston. This is my first visit, and the first impression is that it's both friendly and welcoming. The trail is well-paved, perfect for walking, biking, and running with kids out in the park.

A lovely place to reconnect with Nature and enjoy the wonders of the New England woods. There's plenty of wild animals wandering the grounds and it's a great way to escape the city noise while getting some cardio done.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
