We walked the 2 mile trail then did 1/2 of it again. Lots of happy dogs and a few people. Folks were friendly, and it get safe and even congenial. We walked at just the beginning of spring so fresh green was popping out in the trees, and the frogs were signing in the pond trying to outdo all the competition.
This is the biggest park in Hall County with 168 acres of land. There are multiple trails for walking and jogging that lead to the most scenic sights like the Cherokee Bluffs. The "Bluffs" are a large formation of rock cliffs that served as temporary shelter for families of early settlers during the late 18th century.
Beautiful park! The trails are well-maintained, perfect for walking or hiking. There can be a few stumps, so watch out! There's plenty of open space for picnics, a playground for kids, and clean restrooms. It's peaceful, relaxing and a great place to spend time outside. And the bluffs are easily accessible.
Great hike along unpaved trails. Lots of switchbacks which at times got a bit annoying but there were shortcuts to bypass many of them. The path had a good amount of variety- open fields, lakes, ravine, creek, boardwalk and bridges and a moderate amount of hills.
