Confirmed from Cherry Canyon MTB Trail Start Point-Gate's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Mountainous park with wide paths for hiking, plus single-track routes for mountain bikers.
What runners say about Cherry Canyon MTB Trail Start Point-Gate
“This was a beautiful place to hike however the trails were very confusing to navigate.”
Best beginner or ride for days you dont want to go to crazy. Has great scenic views of la Canada. Best trail to me is the ultimate destination. That's not to far from the start gate. The trails are never to crowded and is not occupied during the day as much as other trails in the area.
This was a beautiful place to hike however the trails were very confusing to navigate. This park has many trails and you can get easily lost. We did the Forest Hill Road and Cherry Canyon Motorway trails, and we went in a loop. So it was fun, short, and quite an adventure.
Great loop, with different routes to explore. Views of both Glendal and La Canada. Watch out for poison oak. Wear sunblock, many parts have no shade, and other sections do. Great for small kids and pets overall.
This is a beautiful place to ride mountain bikes and for hiking trails. There's a mixture of fire trails and singletrack, so a little bit for everyone!

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
